With the Celtics on the brink of making history in the 2023 Eastern Conference Finals, Derrick White joined the record books himself to keep Boston's season alive.
White's game-winning, buzzer-beating tip-in in Game 6 was only the second of its kind in NBA Playoffs history where the team was facing eliminationandtrailing when the shot was taken.
The only other instance? Michael Jordan's "The Shot" in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference First Round against the Cavaliers in 1989.
And while those two stand alone to keep their team's championship pulse beating, there have been 49 other game-winning, buzzer-beating shots in NBA Playoffs history.
No player in NBA Playoffs history has more game-winning buzzer-beaters than LeBron James, who has five to his name.
Jordan ranks second with three, while Damian Lillard, Paul Pierce and Jo Jo White are all tied for third with two.
